The schools have gone back and the weather is more dreary.
September now is now in full swing.
In fact, as I sit here wrapped in my blanket with the heating on, my summer holiday seems like a distant memory.
It feels like a long farewell to summer and a welcome to the arrival of autumn.
It’s usually at this point in the year that two things usually happens.
I reminisce about those long sunny days
Gone are the days when we rush back from holiday to get our photos printed.
So instead, I sift through, edit an organise my digital photos. Then I look at them over and over again.
Today, I have picked one of my best holiday moments from a recent family trip to Spain to pine over.
It might not look like the sunniest of scenes but this image gives me all of the feels.
The cloud had set in a little (although it was still warm), so us oldies sat in a beach bar drinking a sundowner whilst we watched them playing together.
It’s what is in the photo that ticks all of my boxes though.
The photograph is of my daughter and my nephews playing on the beach at the end of a chilled out day in Spain.
It sums up a perfect family holiday of the most memory making.
The other thing to do
Remember that I said I usually do one of two things when I have those post holiday blues?
The other thing to do is to think about the next holiday destination.
What’s your best holiday moment?
