A plant is for life, not just for Christmas with Tree2mydoor

A plant is for life, not just for Christmas with Tree2mydoor

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not overly green-fingered.

When it comes to plants, I’ve been known to kill orchids (that are apparently fairly indestructible).

Other plants, I’ve kept have lived on for years whilst ignoring their existence and rarely watering them.

There’s just no logic (or skill) to it. It’s pure luck.

I do however love to have flowers and plants around, to add a bit of colour and height.

Christmas flowers

During December, my vegetation of choice is mostly green, twinkly based, and artificial.

Of course I’m talking about Christmas decorations.

So when tree gifting company, Tree2mydoor got in touch to ask if I’d like a plant from their Christmas range, I was a little reluctant.

I reckoned I’d kill it before mid-December was out.

Reassured that they should be low maintenance, I chose the White Christmas Indoor Rose Planter, and sat patiently to see how it arrived.

Trees by post

A couple of days later, a large box arrived on my doorstep. Emblazoned on it were the words ‘live plants inside’ and ‘keep upright’.

In the interests of giving an honest review, I have to mention that the package I received did turn up a little worse for wear. I think the courier had really ignored the packaging warnings and clearly been practicing his spin passes with the box.

After I contacted Tree2mydoor to explain about the damage, very quickly, a replacement was dispatched.

When it arrived this time, it was perfect. I’d put money on the damaged first one just being bad luck and a one off.

The plant was wrapped in paper, including sticks to keep the stalks upright. Around the stalks was an elastic band to hold it all together, and a protective cardboard layer with a hole cut out to protect the buds.

Once I’d unpacked it, all I needed to do was pop it on my side. Et voila!

It looks fabulous, and almost everyone who has been over has commented on how beautiful it looks.

Perfect for those hard to buy people

I actually mentioned this company in my gift guide of present ideas for hard to buy people, which is what prompted this review.

Sadly, we no longer have grandparents around, but I still have parents, in-laws and other relatives or friends who seemingly already have everything.

Tree2mydoor provides the perfect solution for just these people.

It’s quick and easy to order, with various shipping options, and there’s such a large range. There’s sure to be something for every budget.

Besides, a plant will live a lot longer than cut flowers – guaranteed to bring some cheer way after the occasion.

I’m definitely bookmarking this site and will be revising for future gifting ideas.
